New Coin from "Eastern Caribbean Coin Program Third Issue"

Scottsdale Mint, in partnership with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB),
is pleased to continue the EC8 program with the release of the 3rd issue from St. Kitts and Nevis, the Siege of Brimstone Hill.  Manufactured and distributed by Scottsdale Mint, each coin is struck in .999+ silver and .9999+ gold and weighs one troy ounce. The silver "Brimstone Hill" BU coins will ship in capsules on Scottsdale Mint skin boards of five (5) coins. The gold "Brimstone HIll" BU coins will ship in Scottsdale Mint's Certi-Lock® packaging.  The silver color commemorative and gold color commemorative coins will ship in capsules inside custom boxes.


The 2020 ECCB St. Kitts & Nevis coin depicts the Siege of Brimstone Hill, the largest fortress ever built in the Caribbean. The Coin depicts the French Soldiers storming the shores of Saint Kitts in 1782 during the American Revolutionary War.   Even though the British were heavily outnumbered by nearly 3 times, they lasted a month before they surrendered. About a year later, the Treaty of Paris restored Saint Kitts and adjacent Nevis to British rule. This fortress is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and a very popular tourist destination that makes this island nation one to visit.
