Each of the 1 oz Bitcoin Icon Copper Rounds is part of an exciting new release from Anonymous Mint. Previous issues feature designs of the Bitcoin symbol on the obverse, with unique designs on the reverse. Examples of those reverse designs include the Bitcoin Guardian and the Bitcoin Anonymous, with the logo of the Anonymous Mint.

Bitcoin is the most popular and widely held crypto currency available. Introduced in 2009, Bitcoin hit a fever pitch in late 2017 with the value of 1 Bitcoin reaching as high as $19,000 USD. The price has since come down to Earth in 2018, but Bitcoin and other crypto currencies remain popular among investors and those who dont trust fiat currencies.

At one point in time, the US government was actually one of the largest holders of Bitcoin. Though central banks and governments are suspicious of crypto currencies, the US federal government became the largest single holder of Bitcoin when it shut down the famed Silk Road online black market.

On the obverse of the 1 oz Bitcoin Icon Copper Rounds youll find the image of the Bitcoin symbol. Similar to that of the US Dollar, youll notice a capital letter B and two vertical lines struck through it. The background field of the rounds includes a computer coding of binary code, reflecting the virtual existence of the currency.

The reverse of all Bitcoin Copper Icon Rounds features the new Crypto Icon design. Created by Anonymous Mint lead coin designer Julie Lindquist, the Crypto Icon design features emblems representing crypto currencies. These symbols include a cloud, piggybank, pickaxe, and shopping cart.
