Velociraptor was a small to medium-sized dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 75 to 71 million years ago. It measured about 6.8 feet in length and stood about 1.6 feet tall at the hip. Velociraptors had a slender, agile build with a long, stiffened tail that helped with balance and maneuverability.

Velociraptors possessed sharp teeth and a powerful bite, which it used to deliver fatal blows to its victims. Its sickle-shaped claws, although not as large as depicted in popular culture, were still highly effective weapons used to slash and disembowel its prey.
