Dilophosaurus is classified within the theropod group of dinosaurs. It is a member of the family Dilophosauridae, and its scientific name is Dilophosaurus wetherilli. Dilophosaurus was a moderately sized dinosaur, reaching lengths of up to 20 feet (6 meters). It stood about 4-5 feet tall at the hip.
