The first release of The Lost World Collection was the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the massive king of the dinosaurs. The Triceratops features second in the series and is the first herbivore depicted in the collection. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the heads of the beasts are set in left-profile relief for carnivores and right-profile relief for herbivores.

In the obverse design of The Lost World Collection Triceratops Copper Round, you will find the image of a triceratops in right-profile relief. The design captures the head of the massive three-horned beast with stoic eyes and its mouth closed.

For the reverse face of the 1 oz Triceratops Copper Round, the mint features a common design element used throughout the series. The Lost World Collection emblem includes the name of the series with lush foliage in the background field and a single dinosaur footprint at the bottom of the field.
