The individual figures in the Zi:Sin Series feature in releases from KOMSCO that correspond to the animals in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The 2022 date is the Year of the Tiger on the Zodiac, with the guardian Tigris featured in the 2022 release from the Korean mint. Tigris is shown here with hints of tiger stripes in his tattoos and a bamboo jungle behind him.

For the obverse design of the 2022 South Korean Zi:Sin Tigris Silver Medal, the mint features its common design element. This figure has featured on the obverse of all issues in this series, but starting in 2020 the mint switched the imagery to this more ferocious image of the hob goblin Do ggae bi.

In the reverse design of 2022 1 oz Zi:Sin Tigris Silver Medals, KOMSCO offers a new depiction honoring the Year of the Tiger. This member of the 12 Guardians has tiger-stripe tattoos on his arms with a lush jungle depicted in the background.
